Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to drive the modernization of data platforms and practices within an innovative and dynamic organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing data processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing data system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Platform Management: Lead the evaluation and enhancement of data platforms, including exploring emerging technologies and cloud-based solutions to improve scalability, security, and accessibility.
Process Optimization: Help define and refine standardized procedures for data management, governance, integration, quality, and lifecycle management to ensure accuracy and consistency across the data pipeline.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, business leaders, and senior management to promote data-driven initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
System Performance & Innovation: Oversee the optimization of data platforms (primarily SQL Server), ensuring peak performance and driving innovations to improve data quality, efficiency, and system functionality.

Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years working as a Database Architect or Data Engineer.
Technical Expertise:

Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, including familiarity with related technologies.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft data development tools (SSMS, Visual Studio Data Tools).
Strong T-SQL development, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
Expertise in SQL Server performance monitoring, tuning, and diagnostics.
Proficiency in SSIS integration; experience with Azure Data Factory is a plus.
Advanced experience in SSRS.
Strong Powershell scripting skills for DB operations and automation.
Familiarity with C# scripting in SSIS (Script Task).
Experience in data warehousing.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of the Azure Data Platform and expertise with its tools related to data and automation.
Experience with Git for version control.
Hands-on experience with APIs, including handling data in JSON and XML formats.
Intermediate to advanced skills in HTML and CSS.
Basic knowledge of Python.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interest and curiosity in emerging database technologies and data analytics.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
Exceptional organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time management capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

General Linux experience.
Familiarity with law firm application databases, such as Aderant Expert, iManage, WestKM, Foundation, etc.
Experience using Idera SQL Diagnostics Manager for SQL monitoring and troubleshooting.
