Linux Systems Administrator
The Linux Systems Administrator will collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to support Red Hat and other enterprise Linux systems both on-premises and in the cloud. This role focuses on ensuring proper system configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and security while leveraging automation to streamline administrative tasks. As the number of servers and applications grows, automation will be key to managing complexity and improving efficiency.
The selected candidate will work closely with the system administration team to assess and recommend improvements for Linux server SUDO management. They will help enhance visibility and control over local SUDO access across Linux servers in data centers.

Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven professionalism in challenging environments while promoting teamwork
- Strong background in Linux Administration within a VMware environment
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git/Bitbucket Enterprise, Jira/Confluence, Ansible)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols
- Expertise in Red Hat Linux OS support
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work with diverse teams
- Technical proficiency in deep-diving into operating systems, application performance, databases, load balancers, networks, and storage systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and be available during off-hours when required
Compensation & Experience Requirements
Senior Linux Systems Administrator
- Hourly Rate: $60-80 DOE
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience, preferably in complex build and deployment systems or a combination of education, training, and scripting expertise
- Preferred Skills: Experience with AWS or other cloud server environments is highly preferred
