We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee the design and construction of renewable energy sources and energy storage at our Research Campus. This role is integral to the broader objectives of the Engineering & Research (E&R) Department. The Program Manager will implement project management processes, support business leads, and drive day-to-day project execution. This role requires coordination with stakeholders to plan milestones, monitor progress, and ensure resource efficiency while managing risks, scope, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage large-scale construction projects from RFP initiation to substantial completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and construction standards.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, leveraging project management software (e.g., Workfront) to track milestones, dependencies, and progress.
  • Foster strong relationships with leadership, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to define project scope and resolve conflicts.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and financial constraints to ensure project completion within budget.
  • Oversee risk management, ensuring timely issue resolution and developing contingency plans for project challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, providing updates, reports, and executive messaging.
  • Coordinate external vendor management activities, including contract reviews and approvals.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, documenting lessons learned and ensuring successful project transition.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of proven construction management experience, overseeing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplined project teams, including contractors, engineers, and internal staff.
  • Proven experience in managing project budgets and tracking costs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft executive messages and internal communications.
  • Skilled in using project management tools (e.g., Workfront), and managing complex projects under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS or MBA is a plus.
  • Background in construction management, civil engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in renewable energy or similar industries is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCM, LEED, and OSHA are a plus.
Key Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on process management and standardization.
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills to collaborate across departments and hold teams accountable.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to pivot between high-level planning and day-to-day tactical execution.
  • Technical proficiency in construction methods, project management tools, and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, adaptable to all organizational levels.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze complex situations and present solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, resourceful approach to project management.
