Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Translational Science Team on active and proposed research initiatives, including protocol development, data entry, and specimen inventory projects.
- Manages the creation of specimen-related inventories, troubleshoots issues, and provides timely resolutions.
- Organizes teleconferences for lab activities associated with active projects.
- Offers informatics support for biospecimen banking and data harmonization.
- Maintains electronic databases for lab projects (e.g., Sample Tracking System) on a continuous basis.
- Monitors specimen submission delinquency for both active trials and retrospective studies on archived tissue, coordinating directly with sites to manage the submission of overdue or additional specimens.
- Assists as a liaison with tissue banks and biostatisticians, supporting responses to inquiries from relevant research systems.
- Participates in departmental meetings, protocol development meetings, disease-specific committee meetings, and other required meetings.
- Engages in conference calls as necessary.
- Reviews team documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Manages multiple special projects as assigned.
Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in an oncology clinical research setting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and related software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is advantageous.
- Experience in project management is a plus.

Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life science discipline from an accredited institution, or relevant life experience. A Master’s degree is preferred
